Registration Process:
1. You must be a qualified applicant.
2. You must personally appear at the local COMELEC Office where you reside during office hours , from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mondays through Saturdays including holidays) , beginning May 3, 2011 to October 31, 2012.
3. At the office, your registration status will be verified.
4. After the verification process, you will be given 3 forms to be filled up:
a. One for the Election Officer;
b. One for the provincial file;
c. One for the central file.
5. Your biometrics will then be captured , using the COMELEC’s Data Capture Machine (DCM). This process involves 3 steps:
a. First, photograph capture;
b. Second, fingerprint capture (right and left thumbs and index fingers) ; and
c. Lastly, signature capture.
These are done digitally.
6. You will be given an Acknowledgment Receipt after completing this process.
